Q —What is a good way to have a restful night of sleep?

A —Create a bedtime ritual that is calming to your nervous system. A bath with sea salt and lavender is both relaxing and detoxing. Add to that candlelight and chamomile or tension tamer tea and you have the prelude to a good night’s sleep. Lisa Saslove, R.D. also recommends “Calm” a magnesium drink to relax before bed. A foot or hand massage is another great ritual to include along with some gentle yoga stretches to release tension.
