The Dream Life: Lifeology Retreat

The Dream Life: Lifeology retreat is about awakening the body, mind, heart and spirit. It includes a dream life assessment.

Day 1

Truth
Without the real truth, we never understand – let alone reach – our real dreams. We must understand the following about truth: 1) The Truth is much, much bigger than we can ever know. 2) Truth and Certainty are not the same thing. 3) Either/or, true/false, thinking is terrible for managing a life. 4) I'm right/you're wrong thinking serves the self, not the soul. 5) The greatest tool for happy living is an open mind. 6) “Both + And” thinking will help us find solutions to the greatest issues of our lives.

Wisdom
Wisdom is the dynamic balance of reason, common sense, and intuition. We must use all three when making big decisions in our lives. Reason (logical thinking) is important because it helps us solve specific problems and create order and predictability. Common Sense (practical thinking) is necessary because it sees things in reality and understands their usefulness. Intuition (intrinsic thinking, or gut sense) is valuable because it allows us to find work and relationships that connect with our hearts and souls.

Insight
Insight is a deeper way to approach truth and to understand your life, your talents and your significance. Your essential inner-guidance system, which is found by having clear intention and open-mindedness, connects with external reality. Intention is not a plan or schedule, rather it is a general determination that we keep in the back pocket of our inner life. And because insight comes from our soul – a place deep within us and is bigger than ourselves – we must have an open mind. There are five conditions in which we arrive at insight: Reflective, Authentic Interactive, Automatic, and Reactive. There are also four paths to insight: Learning, Doing, Serving, and Reflecting.

Dream Life Assessment
The Dream Life Assessment is an online survey that will provide you with a clear picture of your life, as it is now. We ask you to closely review the results by creating a “Bird's Eye View” Life Map in which you closely evaluate your relationships, career, and lifestyle. It also teaches you to create communities of change because your Dream Life will only grow if you nourish it.

Who Am I?
We cannot know our true dreams until we know who we are. And for most of us, the question of “Who am I?” can't honestly be answered. Instead of trying to live in fulfillment of our own dreams, we're really just trying to live according to someone else's dreams, someone else's definition of us. We must learn to listen to our soul, the deepest dimension of our awareness, to discover who we really are.

Day 2

Design
Each of us has a unique design, comprised of our talents and traits. A talent is a natural skill; it is something that you do well with little effort. A trait is a persistent quality of our essential identity such as optimism, caring, courage, or enthusiasm. Understanding your track record of success is the surest way for us to learn how our traits and talents are called forth in real-life circumstances. A Dream Life is achieved when you honor your design in your career, lifestyle, and relationships.

Drive
To lead a Dream Life, we must know what is motivating our actions, and there are only two motives: love and fear. To understand our motive, we must know what we truly believe about the world and our place in it. Religions and Wisdom traditions can be extremely valuable aids and inspiring when we're seeking an answer, but true religion is a personal journey within a loving community. Finally, a Dream Life needs a vital meaning — and the meaning of life is to give and receive Love. Love changes our mental life, our emotional life, our relationships, our moral life, our career and business, and is the only drive that will bring us lasting life satisfaction.

Desire
The last questions to ask ourselves about the three domains of our lives – lifestyle, relationships, and career – are, “What do I want?” and “What changes am I going to make in my life, starting now?” Having real goals can help us answer these questions, but it is also important to have a model designed for setting change in motion, The A-C-T-I-O-N-! Model. ACTION! Stands for Aspire, Create, Think, Initiate, Open Your Mind and Notice Opportunities! The process of defining your Dream Life is a lifelong journey. As you live your life, your Dream will continue to change and evolve. Make A-C-T-I-O-N a lifelong habit.
