Living in alignment with who you really are is true freedom. When you respect yourself enough to make choices that are for your highest good you encourage others to do the same. Freedom is a state of mind that allows you to see the world from a higher perspective.
“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
~ Viktor E. Frankl
Living a life of freedom begins with realizing where you are not free. Bondage can show up in a variety of ways that include: disease, anxiety, depression, and suffering. It’s up to you to free yourself of these constraints so that you can fully embrace life.
Free yourself from the possibility of disease by creating more ease within your body. Tension is the physical manifestation of stress, and chronic stress is the result of resisting what is. Accept what happens in your life and you'll have the presence of mind to move forward with greater ease.
Free yourself from the prison of anxiety by practicing mindfulness. The art of living in the present moment is a skill that is definitely worth learning. Anxiety comes from living in the future and imagining what you don’t want. Being more present cultivates a sense of freedom in the here and now.
Free yourself from the grip of depression by letting go of the past. Forgive yourself and others by realizing that everyone is doing the best they know how, including you. Let go of judgment and replace it with acceptance and you will set yourself free.
Free yourself from the bondage of suffering by identifying with your divine self. Your spirit is the part of you that can observe the suffering that your body mind, and heart are experiencing. As you become aware of inner commotion you can calm your emotions with a healthy dose of awareness mixed with compassion.
Free will is your divine birthright. It allows you to choose what you will create with your precious time on earth. If you choose to create beauty you will experience love as a result of your creation. This is how you contribute to co-creating a beautiful world.
Think of yourself as a wave that's part of a vast ocean. When it rises up it has the freedom to move in its own direction and then return to its source. You are free to do the same, although your wave of energy lasts an entire lifetime and goes in many directions before you return to the source of your being.
