The past may leave a trail behind you but it doesn't have the power to create a path in front of you. Although it causes a ripple effect made of life experiences, they have all been for your soul's highest good and evolution. Keep moving forward in the direction of enlightenment.
“Learn from the past, set vivid, detailed goals for the future, and live in the only moment of time over which you have any control: now.” ~ Denis Waitley
However you choose to move your body throughout the day, set an intention that with each forward step you take you are leaving the past behind and fully entering the present moment. This will help your body let go of any physical discomfort it may be carrying related to the past.
When others judge you, or you judge yourself, for what you did in the past it's helpful to remember that you're not defined by your past experiences; it's who you become as a result of what you've been through that...
Surrendering control isn't giving up, it's opening up. It means living in a state of grace by letting go of your attachment to outcome and becoming a co-creator with the universe. Imagine raising your sails and allowing the wind to move you.
“Always say 'yes' to the present moment... Surrender to what is. Say 'yes' to life - and see how life starts suddenly to start working for you rather than against you.” ~ Eckhart Tolle
The ego has very little patience. For instance, if you were to decide that you wanted to get in shape it might take on the role of drill sergeant to get the job done quickly. If your body didn't respond well to this approach you might give up on that goal and move on to the next. Surrendering control allows you to accept where your body is and honor it with the respect it deserves to keep moving in the direction of your fitness goals.
Whenever you embark on a creative project it's important to...
When you eat is just as important as what you eat. Fasting has been around for ages as a healing practice for detoxing and repairing the body. It can also be part of a sacred spiritual practice. There is a way of eating with daily fasting called intermittent fasting that is relatively easy to incorporate, once you get used to it.
Watch this short TED talk on intermittent fasting to determine if this fasting technique is right for you: https://youtu.be/A6Dkt7zyImk

It makes sense that clearing a space is just as important as cleaning it. Stagnant or toxic energy in a room may not be seen but it can be felt.
Watch this short video to learn a few ways to do space clearing so that you can feel good when you’re in your home or office: https://youtu.be/rOy9uMpGQw8
Afterwards decide on where this is needed and which technique you will use. Feel free to share how this shifted the energy by emailing me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.

Decide what is most important to you about your personal style and the message that you would like to convey and perhaps you will have the lighthearted attitude and conviction that billionaire Richard Branson of Virgin Group has about his aversion to wearing ties.
Watch this short video of Sir Richard Branson on the subject of wearing ties: https://youtu.be/WNsKG-ZeVQU and afterwards decide if there is a change you would like to make in your wardrobe that would better define your personal style.
Feel free to share that with me via email at: email@example.com.

Balance is an integral part of a successful relationship. It’s up to you to heal your childhood wounds so that you can show up fully without emotional baggage. The best way to unpack your emotional baggage is to open it up, take a look at it, decide where it belongs, and stop wearing what no longer fits.
Abandonment, whether physical or emotional, can be the source of childhood wounds. Take a look at this short video on abandonment to determine if this is an emotional wound that needs healing: https://youtu.be/eTbII1ALDs0
After watching this video place your hands on your heart center, close your eyes, and breathe deeply, as you reassure your inner child that as an adult you will listen and take care of your own needs.

Enjoy your Thriving Thursday!
What often gets in the way of trusting our intuition and living our dreams is an underlying misbelief of unworthiness. There is nothing you need to prove to be worthy of moving in the direction of your dreams. Just by taking the first step, and then the next, until you gain some momentum will set you on the right path. Remember to be patient with yourself on this journey and have compassion if self-doubt arises.
Listen to this guided meditation video on cultivating worthiness: https://youtu.be/jKEjUiVk3BY
Afterwards write your thoughts in a journal or share them with me via email: email@example.com.
Creativity comes from the right hemisphere of your brain that is the receptive, intuitive, feminine side. Pay attention to your intuition and then put your creativity into form with the use of your left brain that is the active, logical, masculine side.

We live in a supportive universe. Like a river that flows and affects everything it touches, you have an infinite flow of well-being that is the source of your success and positively affects the lives of those you touch.

If you love what you are doing, you will be successful." ~ Albert Schweitzer
Healthy habits form a strong foundation for living a successful life. Having a yoga practice is a way to mindfully move your body, deepen your breath, massage your internal organs, and increase circulation. It's also a great way to get into the natural rhythm of life where success naturally flows.
A big part of success is creativity and innovation. When you can take an idea all the way to full creative self-expression you will feel satisfied by the successful process of completion. Any additional success that shows up in the outer world can be considered a bonus.

Yoga means union between mind and body. By combining poses (asanas) inspired by nature and animals with conscious breathing techniques (pranayama), you experience a healthy connection between your body and mind that brings you fully into the present moment where life is happening. The more you practice yoga, the more present you become to your life.
Here is a 20-minute home yoga practice for beginners:
If you are brand new to yoga this is a great introduction. If you already a seasoned yogi this is still a gentle reminder of how much you can connect your body/mind with an easy 20-minute practice at home.
After you complete this yoga practice notice how you feel and write about it in your journal. Feel free to email me at: email@example.com to share your experience with me. I would love to hear from you!
